3. Samuel3 Menzies (Samuel2, Samuel1) was born in Old Monkland, Lanarkshire 24 March 1861. Samuel died 11 February 1944 in Motherwell, at 82 years of age.
He married twice. He married Mary Ann McDowall in Dalry, Ayr, 2 November 1883. Mary was born abt 1861. He married Isabella Boyd in Coatbridge, 18 April 1888. Isabella was born in Old Monkland, Lanarkshire 23 November 1867. Isabella was the daughter of Hugh Boyd and Margaret Cowan. Isabella died bef 1944.
A census listed Samuel as head of household in Coatbridge, 6 April 1891. Samuel was a blast furnace keeper in 1902.
Samuel Menzies and Isabella Boyd had the following children:

died 3 June 1920 at 31 years of age. He was inducted into the military 4 September 1914. He was released from active duty in
Hamilton, 14 April 1919.

Maggie Menzies was born in Newmains; Pillinsland 14 February 1893. Maggie died 6 December 1983 in
Wishaw, at 90 years of age. She married John Wilson in Glasgow, 29 June 1912. John was

Grace Menzies was born in Cambusnethan 15 February 1897. Grace died 8 September 1979 in Shrewsbury,
